The crisis.

If you listen to UK politicians, of any colour, every major topic is in crisis - housing, health care, education, defence, cost of living, farming, energy, illegal immigration, environment. Statements of problems are given with absolute certainty of the crisis. Each one stand alone and the solution for each is more money. I give my head a wobble. Why don’t our lead politicians communicate with a level of pragmatism, uncertainty and a little humility? Why is everything a stated priority?  Why are the dots more joined up across the crisis themes? Why are the ministers not household names? When did the role of prime minister become that of a president? I give my head a wobble.
